come & see is a farm for everyone

our purpose

Come & See Farm builds ecological and community resilience through regenerative land stewardship and cooperative learning. We tend to our relationships with all beings — human and non-human — through imagination, curiosity, and play.

our practices

At Come & See, we prioritize the health of the entire ecosystem that our farm is embedded in. We rotationally graze small ruminants through woods and silvopasture to build soil fertility, manage woodland plant species, and create habitat and forage for other animals that reside here. For most of the season, our goats and sheep move to a new paddock every 2-3 days to minimize overgrazing and to more evenly spread their manure and hoof pressure. In some areas, the goats and sheep stay for longer periods to put pressure on unwanted species — like multiflora rose, poison ivy, or white mulberry — and make room for more plant diversity. We care for the animals and plants we steward holistically through practices like integrated parasite management; growing and feeding quality, diverse forage; and refraining from using pesticides, herbicides, or other chemical amendments on the land.
